Dora "Ama" Cantu Venecia of Rose Hill finished her earthly course on Saturday, April 8, 2023. She was 91 years of age. She is preceded in death by her husband Heraclio Venecia, her eldest son Juan Heraclio Venecia, and grandchildren Alfredo Coronado and Rebeca Ramirez. Dora is survived by her children; Roel Venecia, Clemencia Finkley, Flerida Venecia, Eliu Venecia, Sergio Venecia, Jael Rodriguez, Elena Ramirez, Eliseo Venecia, Serapio Venecia, Arnoldo Venecia, Rene Venecia, Pedro Venecia, Dora Valencia, Maria Margarita Valencia and Flerida Zamarron; 51 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Dora was born in Tamaulipas Mexico on April 4, 1932, to the late Serapio Cantu and Elena Martinez Bravo. Dora was a devout Jehovah's Witness dedicating her life to Jehovah on March 1, 1968, and proclaimed the good news of the kingdom to anyone she came across (Matthew 24:14). Dora loved her children, and her grandchildren were the center of her life, she loved and enjoyed spending time with them and teaching them about the earth, birds, flowers, and primarily about her heavenly father Jehovah God. Dora's favorite words were the words of Proverbs 3:5,6 'Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. In all your ways take notice of him, and he himself will make your paths straight."

La precedieron en la muerte su esposo Heraclio Venecia, su hijo mayor Juan Heraclio Venecia, y sus nietos Alfredo Coronado y Rebeca Ramírez. Le sobreviven sus hijos: Roel Venecia, Clemencia Finkley, Flérida Venecia, Eliu Venecia, Sergio Venecia, Jael Rodríguez, Elena Ramírez, Eliseo Venecia, Serapio Venecia, Arnoldo Venecia, René Venecia, Pedro Venecia, Dora Valencia, María Margarita Valencia y Flérida Zamarrón; 51 nietos, 49 bisnietos y 4 tataranietos.

Dora nació en Tamaulipas, México, el 4 de abril de 1932, hija de Serapio Cantú Flores y Elena Martínez Bravo. Dora era una devota Testigo de Jehová que dedicó su vida a Jehová el 1 de marzo de 1968, y proclamaba las buenas noticias del reino a todo aquel con quien se cruzaba (Mateo 24:14). Dora amaba a sus hijos, y sus nietos eran el centro de su vida, le encantaba y disfrutaba pasar tiempo con ellos y enseñarles sobre la tierra, los pájaros, las flores, y principalmente sobre su padre celestial Jehová Dios. Las palabras favoritas de Dora eran las de Proverbios 3:5,6: "Confía en Jehová con todo tu corazón y no te apoyes en tu propia entendimiento.
