Annie Delores "Dottie" Giddens Hunt, 69, of Willard left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Sunday, July 5, 2015 after a valiant struggle with cancer.
She was born on November 19, 1945 in New Hanover County and was the daughter of the late Albert and Irene Whaley Giddens.
Dottie was a member of Watha Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 18 years, John Hunt; daughter, Zondra Y. Cawein and husband, Chris of Moscow, Tennessee; grandsons, Billy Brown and Tatum Brown; brother, Dan Carlson of Cedartown, Georgia; and sisters, Jane Jones and husband, Ronnie and Deborah Giddens, all of Willard.
Dottie was a devoted wife and caring mother and grandmother who loved her family dearly. With a green thumb, she grew the most beautiful flowers and made her yard exquisite. Dottie was creative, artistic and had great home decorating skills. She painted pictures on her walls that were always outstanding. More than anything, Dottie loved the Lord and was strong in her beliefs of Him. She will surely be missed but cherished memories of her will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved Dottie.
