Dottie Jean Mcleod, age 35, of Holly Ridge, NC passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC.

She was born on November 21, 1984 in Dunn, NC to Johnny Ray Mcleod and the late Gail Mcleod.

Dottie was born and raised in Dunn, NC. She moved to Holly Ridge, NC when she was a teenager and spent the rest of her life there. Dottie loved animals and had three goats and four dogs. She enjoyed fishing, camping and the great outdoors. Dottie was always friendly and cheerful to all. She loved her children and her family very much.

Dottie is survived by her father, Johnny Mcleod and Beverly; husband, Bobby Bennett of Holly Ridge, NC; children, Gail Bennett and Bobby Bennett, Jr. of Holly Ridge, NC; brother, Donny Mcleod and Angela of Dunn, NC; sister, Pamela Mcleod and Tom of Jacksonville, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

Dottie was preceded in death by her mother, Gail Mcleod.
