Earl Hart, Jr., age 38, of Wilmington died Friday, November 21, 2008 at Britthaven of Wrightsville.

He was born December 16, 1969 in Wilmington and was the son of Brenda Fales Hart Smith of Wilmington and the late Earl Hart, Sr.

Surviving in addition to his beloved mother are his step-brother, Lee Edward Smith of Supply; adopted sister, Brandi M. Lockhart of Poplar Branch; nephew, Mark Fales; uncle, Poppa Jim; and many aunts, uncles and cousins, including, Liz Blackburn. Especially remembered are his canine companions, B. J. and Fat Albert.

Earl loved his family dearly and was loved in return. He enjoyed living on the inland waterway and watching the boats go by. His steadfast faith carried him through a lengthy illness. Fond memories of Earl will forever remain in our hearts.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 24, 2008 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
