Earl Rae Rivenbark, 65, of Burgaw passed peacefully from his earthly life on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 in Wilmington at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare surrounded by his loving family.

He was born November 18, 1956 in Pender County, the son of Raeford Earl Rivenbark and Lulabell Burgess Landrum.  In addition to his parents, Earl is preceded in death by his daughter Jennifer Diane Rivenbark.

Earl is survived by his wife of 15 years Denise Ball Rivenbark; sons, Raeford Paul Rivenbark (Liz), Quinton Rivenbark and Timothy James "Jamie" Andrews Jr. (Victoria); daughter, Jennifer Sulzer; grandchildren, Alanna, Xena, Michele, Grayson, Samuel and Shallan; brother, Kent Rivenbark; sisters, Elizabeth Kopecky and Nancy Jo Callahan (Johnny); along with several nieces and nephews.

Earl had an excellent work ethic, beginning at the age 8 working in tobacco with "Punkin" Rivenbark. Earl enjoyed working with cars and he was a very accomplished automotive mechanic.  He worked for NCDOT 29 years and spent 13 years with Southern Metals Recycling Inc.  In his free time he loved to be a part of nature and watch birds along with spending time gardening and growing roses.  Above all else Earl loved his family.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 28, 2022 at Oleander Memorial Gardens in Wilmington with Pastor Javon Hankins conducting the service.

The family will receive friends at the Rivenbark residence.
