Eddie Allen Bryan, 71, of Burgaw and formerly of Wallace and Greenville, SC, passed to his eternal rest on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his home. He was born August 27, 1941 in Pender County, the son of the late Carl B. and Viola Rebecca Norris Bryan. Also remembered is Allen's sister, Joan Bryan who preceded Allen in death.

Allen is survived by his wife of 53 years, Peggy Ruth Bryan; son, Stuart Alan Bryan; daughter, Amanda Gay Bryan; three grandsons; three great grandchildren; brothers, Victor Bryan, Bobby Bryan, Ron Bryan, Charles Bryan, Mike Bryan and Mark Bryan; and many nieces and nephews.

As a young man Allen served his country honorably in the US Navy Reserves. Allen was a whiz with computers and spent most of his career working with computers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors in God's wonderful world of beautiful nature. He loved his family and was a devoted husband, daddy, granddaddy, brother and friend. Cherished memories of Allen will forever remain in our hearts.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Rockfish Cemetery with The Rev. Ron Bryan officiating.
