Obituary

Eddie Albert Goble II, age 25, of Magnolia left his life of serving others for his eternal rest on Sunday, September 15, 2013 after a long courageous battle with cancer.

He was born on May 31, 1988 in Caldwell County, the son of Phyllis Teresa Watson Quinn and step-father, David Quinn of Magnolia and the late Reverend Eddie Albert Goble.

Eddie served his community well as a police officer with Rose Hill Police Department. Prior to becoming an officer, he served as dispatcher for Sampson and Duplin Counties and was a volunteer fire fighter and 1st responder for Magnolia Fire Department. Eddie was a young man with great integrity, dedication and love for others. He always put others needs before himself. With a keen sense of humor, a humble and charitable spirit, he made enduring friendships that sustained him through the dark days of his illness. Eddie touched many lives in his short life and will forever remain in our hearts.

Surviving in addition to his mother and step-father is his wife and best friend, Jessica Morgan Goble; his boys, Eddie Albert Goble III, Cayden Blake Goble and Cameron Bryson Goble; sister, Denise Goble Whaley and husband, Roger; maternal grandfather, Grady Watson; paternal grandmother, Charlene Goble; nephew, Greyson Whaley; niece, Abigail Whaley; step-sister, Makayla Quinn; father-in-law and step mother-in-law, Thomas and Janice Hall; mother-in-law and step father-in-law, Tracy and Lloyd Wells and numerous friends who loved and respected Eddie very much.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at First Assembly of God in Wallace with the Reverend Jerry Koonce and Sgt. Sylvia McLean officiating. Burial will follow in Fussell Cemetery, Rose Hill.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace and other times at the Eddie and Jessica's home.
