Edgar "Jerry" Phipps, 65 of Wilmington passed away at home on Monday, December 2, 2013.

He was preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Mildred Fipps, sisters Betty Meredith and Elaine Manus, brother Roger "Dale" Fipps.

Jerry is survived by his wife Julie Phipps, of the home, daughters Connie Phipps and Ulene Latham, grandchildren Brittany, Matthew and Gavin Latham, brothers Larry and Ricky Fipps, sisters Judy James and Tammy King, and canine companion Lucy.

He was a member of Castle Hayne Baptist Church and Black River Hunting Club. Jerry loved to hunt and fish.

Per Jerry's request, attire for the visitation and funeral should be jeans and casual shirts.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, December 4th, 2013 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Bradley Creek Chapel. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 5, 2013 at the funeral home. Interment Greenlawn Memorial Park.
