Edgardo Villela, age 71, of Wallace unexpectedly left this earthly life for his eternal rest on Thursday, May 4, 2023.

He was born on January 19, 1952, in Honduras; the son of the late Carlos Villela and Eloisa Torres. He was also predeceased by his brothers, Jorge H. Villela and Rony A. Villela.

Edgardo is survived by his brothers Carlos Villela, Jr., Jose Villela, Luis Villela, Jorge Villela, and Rommel Villela; sister, Alba Montoya; special nieces, Glenda Villela and Nancy Villela; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends that loved Edgardo dearly.

Edgardo was a loving brother, and caring uncle and friend.  He was one who was willing to lend a helping hand wherever needed.  He was always there for his family, no matter what. Edgardo enjoyed watching westerns and blacksmith shows. He was a jack-of-all trades and could do just about anything, but mostly he worked as a plumber.  With an outgoing personality, Edgardo never met a stranger.  He was always friendly to those he met. Edgardo enjoyed spending time and eating with his family and friends. Edgardo will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Funeral service and receiving of friends and family will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace.

Graveside service will follow in Duplin Memorial Gardens, Teachey, NC
