Edna Garner Harrell, age 90, of Teachey passed from this life to her eternal rest on Friday, November 5, 2021.

She was born on June 16, 1931 in Duplin County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Jeff and Annie Sutton Garner.  Mrs. Harrell was also preceded in death by her children, Sidney Harrell, Johnny Harrell, Marie Hall and Joe Harrell.

Surviving are her devoted children, David Harrell of Teachey, Annette Whaley and husband, Edward of Kinston, and Bruce Harrell and wife, Debbie of Willard and Danny Harrell of Hampstead; her brother, Isaac Garner and wife, Linda of Beaufort.  Mrs. Harrell was also blessed with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and extended family and friends.

Edna was a devoted mother and loving grandmother and sister who would do anything for her chidlren. She was a simple woman who enjoyed the simple things in life.  She was a great cook and wonderful homemaker. She dedicated her life to her family and made sure they were provided for.  Her grandchildren were the apple of her eyes and she would go to the far ends of the earth for them and her children.  Edna was a strong but gentle woman and will be greatly missed.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace.

They family will receive friends from 9:00am to 10:00am, one hour prior the service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the service at Duplin Memorial Gardens, Teachey.
