Edward Keith Hildebrand, age 51, of Wilmington, North Carolina died on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
He was born December 20, 1956 in Charlottesville, Va. and was the son of Edward Hilb and Joanne Lavon Breeden Hildebrand of Charlottesville, Va.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Carl and Anna Breeden and his paternal grandparents, Hunter and Ramona Hildebrand.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his loving wife of thirteen years, Dianne Pickett Hildebrand of the home; children, Joshua Hildebrand, Ethan Hildebrand, Hannah Hildebrand and Sarah Hildebrand all of the home; brother, Kevin Lee Hildebrand of Washington, DC; and many other extended family who loved Keith dearly.
Keith graduated from Charlottesville High School and worked for both the City of Charlottesville and General Electric before moving to Wilmington in the late 1980's. He was employed with The Pantry at the 17th Street location in Wilmington and was a member of Livingston Tabernacle. He was held in high regard by officers of the Wilmington Police Department.
Keith was a Godly man who served and loved his Lord and his family with unceasing devotion. With his great sense of humor, warm heart and gentle spirit he brought joy to all who knew him. He was unselfish and always caring of others, even those beyond his family. He had a passion for Cavalier sports and could tell you statistics that only their number one fan would know. He loved cooking and experimenting with different recipes for his family's enjoyment. Keith worked tirelessly to support his family. Cherished memories of Keith will forever remain in our hearts.
Graveside funeral service will be 11:00 am Saturday, July 19, 2008 at James Pickett Cemetery, Little Kelly Road, Rocky Point with Pastor Lottie Rogers officiating.
