Edwin K. Carter, Jr, 74 of Wilmington passed away Monday, October 20, 2014 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice LifeCareCenter.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edwin K. Carter, Sr. and Annie Creech Carter and his brother Joseph Carter.

Edwin is survived by his wife Emily Carter of the home, daughter Marsh Watkins and husband John, grandchildren Grace and Cody Watkins, sister Maggie Lou Rivenbark and husband Ernest, brother Linwood Carter and wife Carol and many nieces and nephews.

He retired from Pepsi Co in 2003 after 41 years of service and was a dedicated member of Castle Hayne Baptist Church for 26 years and has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Edwin was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

A celebration of life will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Castle Hayne Baptist Church.
