Effie was a faithful member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Effie, grandma to many, loved her family above all else. To all who knew her, Effie's loving, gentle spirit was an example of how a Christian life should be lived. She exemplified the fact that the meek shall inherit the earth. Effie loved gardening and always planted enough to share. Being an accomplished seamstress she would often make dresses and shirts for others and never accept pay. She truly believed her reward was coming later and today she has received her reward.
