Eleanor R. Moore, 87, of Wilmington and formerly of Wilson died Sunday, October 12, 2008 at Cypress Pointe Health Care Center.

She was born June 3, 1921 in Pender County, the daughter of the late Coy D. and Lou Hunt Moore. She was predeceased by her brothers, Coy J. Moore and Walter B. Moore and sisters, Hazel Wall and Alma Faye Woodcock.

Surviving are many devoted and loving nieces, nephews and a special sister-in-law, Juanita Moore of Wilmington.

Ms. Moore was a member of Daniel's Chapel Baptist Church in Wilson. For many years Eleanor was a caregiver and is remembered for the excellent care that she gave to many people in Wilson. She was a soft spoken, kind hearted southern lady filled with grace and generosity to others. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at Atkinson Cemetery with The Rev. Roy Brewton officiating.
