Elisabeth Da Silva Bertin, age 77, of Wilmington, NC passed away on Monday, March 7, 2022.

She was born on February 26, 1945 in Brazil to the late Eduardo Quirino Da Silva and Maria Lybia De Souza.

Elisabeth moved from Brazil to the United States in 1982. She was Catholic and Jewish. Elisabeth worked at New Hanover Regional Medical Center for over ten years. She was very close to her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Elisabeth was a bright light to all that knew her and she will be dearly missed.

Elisabeth is survived by her husband, Jay Bertin; sons, Maycon Guimaraes (Tina) and Fabio Guimaraes; daughter, Patricia Guimaraes: step-daughters, Alyson Stark (Sean), and Suzie Spear (Steve); grandchildren, Diego Guimaraes, Savannah Guimaraes, Danielle Guimaraes, Max Guimaraes, Camila Guimaraes, Christopher Guimaraes, Kayla Ryan Guimaraes, Leo Guimaraes, Alezandria Guimaraes, Arnika Da Silva and Maxwell Carlton; five great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Elisabeth was preceded in death by her brother, Antonio Carlos Da Silva Xavier.

A visitation will be held at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 between 6pm and 8pm. A funeral service will be held at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Wilmington on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 10am. Burial will follow at Oleander Memorial Gardens in Wilmington.
