Obituary

Elizabeth Hardison Chadwick, age 84, of Watha died Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Pender Memorial Hospital.

She was born December 20, 1922 in Sampson County, the daughter of the late Erby G. and Katie Clyde Wells Hardison. She was also predeceased by her husband, William Lawerence Chadwick.

Mrs. Chadwick was a faithful member of Penderlea Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Elizabeth was a devoted and loviing wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. The light of her love, the tenderness of her care, the warmth of her presence brightened the lives of those who called her "Mama, Grandma, Sister, and Friend\\".

Surviving are her sons, Bobby Chadwick and Gary Chadwick and wife, Vennie all of Watha, Ronald Chadwick of Willard, and Kent Chadwick and wife, Ann of La Plata, MD; daughters, Carolyn Miller and husband, Wesley of Rocky Point and Judith Rivenbark and husband, Samuel of Watha; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 10, 2007, at Quinn-McGowen Burgaw Chapel with The Rev. Pauline Knowles and The Rev. Dean Walker officiating.

Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park.

Casketbearers will be Joey Chadwick, Scott Chadwick, Sandy Rivenbark, Robert Wells, Clayton Chadwick, jr., Carl Hardison and Steve Somberg.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw and at other times will be at the home of Mrs. Chadwick.
