Elizabeth Ann West Farrior, 91, of Wallace left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Monday, October 5, 2015.
She was born January 31, 1924 in Duplin County; the daughter of the late Noah Wentworth and Lillian Bennett West; She was also predeceased by her husband Joseph Alfred Farrior, Jr.; sister, Doris Smoke and brothers, Wayne West and John Bennett West.
Mrs. Farrior was a member of First Baptist Church of Wallace.
Surviving to cherish her memory is her devoted son, Keith Farrior and wife, Doris Ann of Wallace; grandchildren, Andrew Farrior of Wallace, Caroline Farrior of Wilmington and Steven Farrior and wife Cindy of Raleigh; great granddaughter, Zella Farrior; sisters, Edna Ryals of Garner and Ella Mae Bason of Mebane; brother, James West and wife, Sandra of Warsaw and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Elizabeth or "Lib" as she was affectionately called was a loving mother and caring grandmother, sister and friend. She was a woman of uncommon character, beauty and grace, "an instrument of God's love on this earth." Lib was a friend to all, a strong yet gentle and loving presence to all who were blessed to know her. She was a wonderful homemaker and great cook who welcomed people into her home. Lib will be remembered for her great sense of humor, her love for family and friends and her steadfast faith in God.
A celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held at 3:00pm on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Alan Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery, Wallace.
The family will receive friends from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Wednesday, one hour prior the service at the funeral home and other times at Mrs. Farrior's home.
