Obituary

Elizabeth Lindsey Rivenbark, 76, of Wallace left this earthly life for her eternal rest on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born April 25, 1939 in Lutts, Tennessee and was the daughter of the late Joe Copeland Lindsey and Aileen House Lindsey Sloan. She was also predeceased by her brother, Hugh Lindsey.

Elizabeth and her husband, Gene was owners and operators of Gene's Alignment in Wallace. She was a dedicated member of Corinth Baptist Church.

Surviving to cherish Lib's memory is her best friend and husband of 51 years, Gene Rivenbark; her loving daughter, Beth Rivenbark of Wallace; nephew, Joe Lindsey of Sevierville, TN; niece, Mary Lindsey of Loudon, TN; great nieces, Alyssa and Jordyn Lindsey; her Rivenbark brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews and friends whom she loved dearly.

"Lib" as she was affectionately called, was a loving wife and caring mother, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest joy was family. A woman of uncommon character, beauty and grace, "an instrument of God's love on this earth." Lib was a friend to all, a strong yet gentle and loving presence to those who were blessed to know her. She was a lady in every sense of the word. Everyone who knew Lib knew she was a dedicated Christian and her life was an example of everyone around her. With a heart of gold and sparkling personality Lib lived her life with love always caring for the needs of her family as well as the needs of others in the community. To know Lib was to love her. She was a true servant who was always ready to lend a helping hand and would always put others before herself. Lib will surely be missed but treasured memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
