Emile Henry Goulette, age 74, of Burgaw and formerly of Connecticut died Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at his residence.

Born October 20, 1937 in Berlin, New Hampshire, he was the son of the late Lorenzo and Mae Kursico Goulette. He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Ann Rathjens.

He served his country honorably in the US Army Special Forces 101st Screaming Eagles Parachute Team.

Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Coelho of Milford, Connecticut; sons, Emile Goulette of Oxford, Connecticut and Arthur Goulette of Milford, Connecticut; his grandchildren, Nicholas "Nick" Goulette, Andrew Goulette, Brittany Goulette, Hannah Goulette and Tylor Baker and numerous friends.

Emile found great joy in the simplest things, but his greatest joy was taking care of his grandson, Nick, whom he loved dearly. Emile will surely be missed but special memories will forever remain in the heart of those who knew and loved him.

Memorial service will be Saturday, March 24, 2012 at Shiloh Baptist Church, 19685 US Hwy 421, Watha, NC 28478.
