Estelle Reaves Crews, 88, of Burgaw passed gently from her earthly life on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Pender Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 13, 1928 in Sampson County, the daughter of the late Elisha and Tempie Cobb Reaves. Also remembered are her husband, John Oliver Faircloth, who died in 1972 and Clifford "Red" Crews who died in 2000; and son, John Faircloth, Jr., all who preceded Estelle in death.

Estelle is survived by her sons, Elisha "Nick" Faircloth (Iletta), David Faircloth, Donald Faircloth (Teresa), and Ronald Faircloth (Laverne); daughter, Shirley Batton (Charles); step-son, Louise Faircloth; step-daughter, Marie Crews; ten grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren.

For many years Estelle was a faithful member of Gateway Community Church (formerly Burgaw Holiness Church.

Estelle lived her life with God as her guide. She loved her Lord, her family and friends. Estelle always had a smile on her face, a hand stretched out to help others, and a heart ready to show the love of Christ within her. Her sweet, sweet spirit will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 1, 2016 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw.

A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Burgaw Cemetery with The Rev. Ted Mercer officiating.
