Eugene Bruce Bishop, 91, of Ivanhoe passed gently from his earthly life Sunday morning, February 20, 2022 at his home.

He was born July 2, 1930 in Honesdale, PA, the son of Eugene H. Bishop and Lynette Highouse Bishop. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Laura Gurganious Bishop who died in 2020.

Eugene is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Flarida and husband, Craig, Carolyn Guyton and husband, Donnie, and Laura Hatcher and husband, Keith; son, Bruce Bishop and wife, RaeAnn; grandchildren, Travis Flarida, Tom Flarida, Jonathan Bishop, Zachary Johnson, William Guyton, Conor Guyton, Tanner Guyton, and Emily Hatcher; great grandchildren, Baylee Bishop and Corey Flarida; and many extended family members and friends.

He served his country with honor during the Korean Conflict in the US Air Force. After serving his country in the US Air Force, Eugene spent many years as an electronic technician with the US Government.

Eugene loved his family and was a loving husband; a great dad; and an exceptional granddad and great granddad. He enjoyed working in his yard, but most of all loved time spent with family. Eugene was loved and respected by many and will be greatly missed.

Due to the current health issues in our country, a private family memorial service will be held to honor Eugene.
