Eugene Rhodes Davis, 74, of Wilmington, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at his home.

He was born on October 12, 1951, in New Bern, NC, to the late Jasper and Reba (Bishop) Davis.

Gene was a lover of music and would often attend rock concerts. His collection of music was extensive as was his knowledge of rock and roll history. Gene worked for the family business, Davis Foods, Inc., for over 35 years. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his brothers, James Davis and wife, Cherry, Billy Davis and wife, Sheila; his sister, Betty Howard and husband, Jeff; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 26, 2026, Greenlawn Memorial Park in Wilmington with Pastor Art Sauer officiating.
