Eugene Huse Garmon, age 80, of Burgaw, NC and formerly of Jacksonville, AL died Tuesday, January 15, 2008.

He was born February 13, 1927 in Jacksonville, AL, the son of the late Huse and Cora Wheeler Garmon. He was also predeceased by his wife of sixty years, Mildred Langley Garmon and sons, Loman Garmon and Jerry Garmon.

Mr. Garmon was a past member of Hiram Lodge No. 42 A.F. & A.M. in Jacksonville.

Surviving are his daughter, Penny (Robert) Raynor of Burgaw, NC; grandson, Chris (Wendy) Wright; granddaughter, Ginger Kwan; great grandchildren, Victoria Wright and Justin Fluharty; and brother, The Rev. Donald Garmon.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday at K. L. Brown Funeral Home, one hour prior to the funeral service.

The funeral service will be at 12 noon Friday at K. L. Brown Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Jack Morgan officiating.

Burial will follow in Jacksonville City Cemetery.
