Eula Lee Horrell Dyson, 80 of Lake Creek Community, Ivanhoe, passed gently from her earthly to her heavenly home February 1, 2012 surrounded by her family.

She was born on October 22, 1931 in the Rowan Community to David James Horrell and Lessie Brown Horrell. Also remembered are sisters, Irene Barnhill, Macie Pierce, and Doris Jones; and brothers, Reuben Horrell, Rudolph Horrell, Elree Horrell and Robert Horrell, all who preceded Eula in death.

Eula Lee is survived by her loving family; her husband of 58 years, Eury Bryant Dyson; children, Eury Delane Dyson and wife, Jill Dyson of Anacoco, Louisiana, Anthony King Dyson and wife, Janice Covil Dyson, of Sanford, and Amy Dyson Evans and husband, Pastor Tim Evans of Wade; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Leona Brown of Ivanhoe; brother, David Earl "Buck" Horrell of Bryson City; and many extended family and friends.

Eula Lee loved her family and was the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend that anyone could ask for. She filled her life with Christian faith, joy, laughter, caring and sharing. Her memory is blessed and cherished.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Rowan Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Samuel Pope, Pastor Jerome Bullard and Pastor Tim Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Dyson Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Jamey Dyson, David Dyson, Derek Dyson, Gerald Simmons, Jessica Simmons, John Mark Evans and Blake Frederick.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. Friday at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
