Obituary

Eva Lynette Grady, 74, of Watha passed gently from her earthly life  on Saturday, December 3, 2022 following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born July 23, 1948 in Lenoir County, the daughter of Lawrence Herman Grady and Edna Futral Grady.

Lynette is survived by her loving family; brother, Larry Grady (Geneva); sister, Annette Reich (Larry); adopted sister, Linda Kimbrough; nieces, Penny G. Trammell (Sam), Melanie Reich Jackson (Timothy), and Karen Reich Cole (Benjamin); nephews, Richard Reich (Dana) and Tony Kimbrough (Lisa); many grandnieces, grandnephews and friends.

For 28 years Lynette has worked with Sturdy Controls Corporation in Wilmington where she was a faithful employee and where she made many friends with her co-workers.

Lynette was a diligent worker, could fix most anything, and always completed any task that she undertook. Lynette was an avid fisherman and during her leisure time you could often find her with a fishing pole in hand fishing anywhere she could find water. It may be a creek, river, ocean, sound or just a trickle of water. She never met a stranger and if she met you once you became her friend forever. Lynette had a special relationship with her Lord. It was her passion  and life's calling to tell people about Jesus. Many folks were on Lynette's daily prayer list. She was a loyal friend, loved her family and they loved her.

A memorial service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2022 at Living Waters Ministries, 141 Middle Sound Loop Road, Wilmington, NC 28411 with visitation one hour prior to the service.

At a later date Lynette will be laid to rest  with her parents in the Burch Brown Cemetery on Lamb Brown Road, Chinquapin.
