A kind and gentle soul, a gracious and loving lady, Irene Hulbert McKeithan, has entered her eternal rest on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at the age of 69.  Born in Wilmington to Thelma Taylor Justice, Irene lived most recently in Wilmington.

In addition to her mother, Irene was preceded in death by her brother, Buddy Hulbert.

Irene is survived by her son, Cecil McKeithan and his wife, Shawna; grandchildren, Aaron McKeithan, William McKeithan and Eric McKeithan; and many extended family and friends.

Irene, with her radiant smile, warm heart, and spunky spirit loved her family. Being a hard and diligent worker, Irene was known for her boundless energy and strong work ethic.  She enjoyed God's beautiful outdoors while tending to her flowers. Irene's presence on this earth will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2019 in Oleander Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Edward Dowd conducting the service.
