Evelyn Hawes Wells of Richmond, Virginia and formerly of Watha died November 21, 2009 in Richmond, Virginia.

She was born January 24, 1910 in Georgia and was the daughter of the late Charlie Bunyan Hawes and Mary Emma Dickson Hawes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glendon Wells; daughter, Gayle Wells Ousley and grandson, Christopher Williams Booker.

Surviving are her daughter, Ruth Wells Booker; grandchildren, Andrea Hawes Ousley, Opal Yates Ousley and Ericson Wells Booker and two great grandchildren, Bennett Wells Booker and Graham Weldon Booker.

Graveside service and interment of ashes will be at 11 o'clock on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Wells Cemetery, 4515 Tuckahoe Road, Ivanhoe, NC 28447 with The Rev. Philip G. Eakins officiating.
