Farris Noble Evans, 74, of Burgaw passed peacefully on Monday, August 27, 2018 at her home surrounded with love and her family.

She was born July 4, 1944 in Onslow County, the daughter of the late Kentchin Paul Noble and Elouise Padgett Noble.

Farris is survived by her beloved husband of 38 years, Herbert L. Evans; daughters, Debbie Anderson and husband, Robert and Jody Lynn Pierce; sons, Herbert L. Evans, Jr., Timothy Evans and Quillie Dale Evans and wife Donda; seven grandchildren: eight great grandchildren; sister, Sheryl Noble Swinson and husband, Alvin; brothers, Phil Noble and wife, Cindy, and Timmy Noble; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Most recently Farris attended Gateway Community Church. Many will remember her career spanned many years at Myers Craft in Burgaw.

Farris loved her family and was the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend anyone could ask for. Faith, family, food, and fun are the words that come to mind when thinking of Farris. She loved fishing, traveling and dancing. Farris had a blessed life and was ready to go to her heavenly home.

The family will receive friends at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with funeral service beginning at 12 noon. The Rev. Ted Mercer will conduct the service. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park.
