Florence
Berger
Aug 13, 1930 — Oct 12, 2022
Florence "Dolly" Berger of Wilmington, NC, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2022 at the age of 92.
Florence was born in Swoyersville, PA on August 13, 1930, to the late Mary and John Lagoski. She grew up in Wilkes Barre, attended Swoyersville High School, worked at the Blue-Ribbon Bakery, and later married her husband Glenmore J. Berger, Jr. on July 7, 1951. She was the proud mother of her three children David, Donna, and Michele.
Dolly lived a full life, traveling to several states such as VA, FL, IL, NJ, WV and PA with her final location being Wilmington, NC. She loved being a stay-at-home mom, raising her children, attending all their sporting and academic events, and was the calm of every storm. She loved to garden, bake (pierogies), sew, make crafts, put together puzzles, collect clocks/antiques and watching both professional baseball and football. Her favorite baseball team being the Philadelphia Phillies and football being the Philadelphia Eagles, but she also never missed the opportunity to watch and cheer for "the Judge" as he made Yankee history. Dolly loved her pets, especially Snuggles her Pomeranian and Mimi her tuxedo cat, and truly loved life. She was an extraordinary woman and mom, full of love, sincerity, kindness, the biggest heart, and everlasting smile. She would do anything for her family and friends and will forever be the light that shines in the darkness.
Dolly is preceded in death by her parents John and Mary Lagoski, her three siblings, Marie Hart, John and Joe Lagoski, her son David Edward Berger, and her three nephews, John Lagoski, Jr., Darryl, and Kevin Hart.
Surviving are her two daughters Donna Berger and Michele Fisher (David) and her four beautiful granddaughters; Sarah, Kaitlyn, Madison, and Lauren and her sons two daughters Joanne and Mary Berger.
