Florence Laplante Coburn, 96, of Atkinson passed peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at her home with her caring family by her side.

She was born November 6, 1915 in Canada, the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Laplante. Also remembered is her husband, Lyle Alfred Coburn; grandsons, Michael Coburn and Richard Lyle Coburn, Jr. and brother, Arthur Laplante all who preceded Florence in death.

Surviving Florence are her sons, Edward "Ed" David Coburn (Peggy) of Atkinson and Richard Lyle Coburn (Claire) of Tiverton, Rhode Island; daughters, Carolyn Chestnut and Joyce Kirkum both of the home; grandchildren, Carol Suggs (Raymond), Robert McCracken (Sandy), Keith Kirkum (Laura), Ricky Holloman, and Nobby Coburn; seven great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and sister, Gertrude Essaff of Newport, VT. Also Florence leaves behind her beloved Maltese dog and constant companion, Casper.

Florence found great joy in the simplest of things, but her greatest love was family. As long as her health permitted there was nothing she enjoyed more than arranging flowers and working in her flower garden. She was blessed with a love for the Lord and a faith that took her through her long life. Florence's family is grateful to God for her life, for your friendship and for your kindness and prayers.

Graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Woodcock Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Gasque officiating.
