Floyd William Varner, 89, of Wallace passed from this life to his eternal rest on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from his residence.
He was born on September 3, 1930 in Armstrong County in Pennsylvania and was the son of the late Charles and Merti Cauldwell Varner. He is also predeceased by his first wife and mother of his children, Dorothy Cleaver Varner; daughter, Pamela Taylor; his son, Floyd "Munson" Varner and his siblings.
Floyd proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Floyd is survived by his wife of 35 years, Claudette Noiseux Varner; sons, Terry Varner and wife, Connie of Wickliffe, OH, Jamie Varner and wife, Kelly of Albany, Ga, John Varner of Rome, OH and Paul Varner of Toledo, OH; daughters, Judy Wiggins and husband, Terry of Burton, OH, Janet Keener and husband, Rodney of Hamdben Township, OH, Neva Sargent and husband, Tim of Chesterland, OH, Eva Jaite and husband, Bob of Chardon, Oh, Joan Stokes and husband, Lynn of Warren, OH, Jane Blankenship and husband, Ed of Burton, OH; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; step daughters, Lorraine Miller-Hartley and husband, Gary of Rose Hill, Christine Flood and husband, Dale of Concord Township, OH and Donna Miller of Medina, OH and many extended family and friends that loved Floyd dearly.
Floyd was a devoted husband and caring father, grandfather and friend. He was a quiet man with great wisdom and love for others. In his younger days, Floyd enjoyed hunting and being in God's great outdoors. As he got older he enjoyed watching Nascar races on TV, along with old westerns and baseball games. Floyd was loved by many and will be dearly missed, but treasured memories will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved Floyd.
Floyd's request was to cremated and therefore there will be no funeral service.
