Frances Chadwick Hardison, 87, of Wilmington passed gently from her earthly life on Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice LifeCareCenter with family by her bedside.

Frances is survived by her daughters, Brenda B. Mitchell and Diane Hardison both of Wilmington; grandson, Brandon L. Brown )Jessica) of Morrisville; great grandchildren, Austin Brown and Annabelle Brown; sister, Elsie Wells of Burgaw and many loving extended family and friends.

Frances was the BEST mama, granny, sister and friend anyone could ask for. Being a wonderful cook, she created a home filled with joy and goodness. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and working puzzles, but most of all she loved her family. Her faith in the Lord gave her a strength and courage that took her through an extended illness. Frances' family is grateful to God for her life and for all kindness, friendship and prayers bestowed upon them during her illness and passing.
