Francisco "Keiko" Patrice Villegas, 49, of Rocky Point died Sunday, June 16, 2013 at his home.

Francisco was born December 8, 1963 in Los Angeles, California and was the son of the late Frank Villegas and Adrienne Chatelle Villegas Compito.

He is survived by his sister, Adrienne Doidge of Costa Mesa, CA; brothers, Valentino Villegas of Lake Isabella, CA, Andre Compito of Costa Mesa, CA and Damian Compito of Wilmington; step-father, Dale Compito of Wilmington; the love of his life, Phyllis Jernigan and her daughter, Jessie and grandson, Hayden; many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Keiko loved God's beautiful outdoor world, especially the ocean where he was a skilled surfer. Being of American Indian heritage Keiko was very spiritual and in tune with nature. His beautiful smile with dimples and his joyful personality always brighten the lives of family and friends. Having a giving and sharing spirit, Keiko was always ready with a helping hand to anyone in need. Cherished memories of Keiko will remain in the hearts of family and friends.

A Celebration of Keiko's Life and the things he enjoyed most during his earthly life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2013 on the beach at the Pender/Onslow County line, end of Broadway Street in Surf City.

A memorial mass will be held in California on Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 26872 Estanciero Drive, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
