Frank Hurley died unexpectedly at his home Thursday, July 3, 2014. A native of West Chester, PA, Frank lived in Wilmington, NC since 1986. He was the son of Joseph Vincent and Beatrice Reynolds Hurley who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his cousin Ambrose Donald Reynolds and daughter Erin Trikha.
Born August 1, 1940, Frank was a graduate of Villanova University and worked as an executive in the Health Care Industry and became the owner of a marina in Wilmington. A former member of the Wilmington Rotary Club, Frank's greatest joys were spending time with his large family and many friends, taking his dogs Parker and Luna for their 4:00 pm beach run, boating and fishing, baseball, watching the Blue Devil's play, classic cars and formula racing.
Fondly referred to by his beloved grandchildren as "G Dad", he actively participated in their lives. He married the love of his life, Glenda Odom Hurley on May 15, 1994 and they recently celebrated their 20th Anniversary.
Frank is survived by his wife, Glenda Odom Hurley, his mother-in-law Lucile Odom, his brother Joseph and wife Betty Hurley, his brother John Hurley, his daughter Cathie Hurley, sons Dan and Frank Hurley, stepsons Ray Bradshaw and wife Myrae, David Bradshaw and wife Kathy and stepdaughter Sheila Bradshaw Marshall. He had eleven "awesome" grandchildren: Kyle and Austin Jarrett, Vikram and Madhavi Trikha, Donovan, Deklan and Drake Bradshaw, Izzy and Davis Bradshaw and Hunter and Fisher Marshall, brothers-in-law Garland Odom and Ricky and his wife Connie Odom and numerous nieces and nephews all who loved and adored Uncle Frank.
A memorial service will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at First Baptist Church Carolina Beach.
