Franklin "Frank" Wyson Moore, age 82, of Rose Hill but was now living in New Bern, left this earthly life on Thursday, June 11, 2020 and is with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Frank was born in Sampson County, NC on August 3, 1937 and was the son of the late Alvin Addison and Linda Elizabeth Rivenbark Moore.  He is preceded in death by his best friend and wife of 56 years, Pauline Brock Moore and their daughter, Martha Elizabeth Moore.

Frank proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was a member of Island Creek Baptist Church where he never missed a Sunday as long as he was able.

Surviving is his sister, Edith May Ottaway of Durham; his niece and caregiver, Aleta Lee and her husband,Allan of New Bern and numerous extended family and friends that loved Frank dearly.

Frank found great joy in the simplest things, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.  With a gentle spirit, Frank always had a smile and an encouraging word for those he met. He was never a complainer and always trusted God for all his needs.  He loved people and enjoyed sitting around and talking about life.  Frank set a great example of how to live life. He will surely be missed.

Graveside service will be held at 11:am on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Riverview Memorial Park, Watha.
