Franklin "Pete" Raymond Rogers III, age 51, of Rocky Point passed away Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.

He was born July 8, 1964 in Maryville, Tennessee the son of the late Franklin R. Rogers Jr. and Priscilla Mae Ray Rogers.

Pete moved with his family to North Carolina in 1976 where he fostered a love of fishing and hunting. He was an avid outdoors man, he enjoyed the company of his family and friends, lived every moment to the fullest and always brought a laugh and smile to others. His generous, kind and laid back spirit will be missed deeply by all.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Aleigha Rogers; brother, Cal Ray Rogers (Angie); sisters, Charme McGinn (Sean) and Priscilla Rogers (Dennis); devoted canine companion, Prince; and numerous loving nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, June 5, 2016 at Quinn McGowen Wilmington Chapel. The family will receive friends thirty minutes prior to the service at the funeral home.
