G. West Paylor, age 40, of Wilmington passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 at his residence.

He was born April 24, 1972 in Wilmington, NC. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles T. and Marguerite P. Burke; paternal grandparents, George E. Paylor, Sr and Elizabeth F. Paylor and his uncle, Charles Pender Burke.

West is survived by his parents, George E. Paylor, Jr and Margery Burke Paylor; special friend, Lisa Salemi and cousin, Margaret Burke.

He graduated from New Hanover High School Class of 1990 and UNCW with a Business Management Degree in 1994. West was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a lifelong hunter and fisherman. He also mentored handicapped children by taking them hunting and fishing through NC Handicapped Sportsmen Inc.

A Celebration of Life service will be 7:00 PM, Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Bradley Creek Chapel, 315 Willow Woods Drive, Wilmington.
