Gail Powers Graham, 68, of Wilmington passed peacefully from her earthly life to her Heavenly home on Monday, January 21, 2013 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 25, 1944 in Duplin County, the daughter of the late Fennell Miller Powers, Sr. and Mabel Whitehurst Powers Page. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wayne Graham.

Gail is survived by her loving family; son, Anthony "Tony" Graham (Jennifer) of Wilmington; daughter, Kimberly Graham Benton (Tom) of Rocky Point; grandchildren, Hunter Graham, Anthony Graham, Jon Benton, Morgan Benton, Katelyn Benton and Jennifer Benton; sister, Wilma Walker (Wilbur) of Goldsboro and brother, Fennell Powers, Jr. of Burgaw.

To know Gail was to love her. Her passion in life was taking care of her family and spending precious time with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife and a devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She enjoyed traveling and took many trips to the mountains, one of her favorite places to visit. Gail was blessed with a love for the Lord and a faith that took her through an extended illness. Her radiant smile and warm heart will always be remembered and cherished.

Graveside funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013 at Powers Cemetery, NC Hwy 50, Maple Hill with Rev. William Earl Hewett and Pastor Douglas Faulk, Jr. officiating.

The family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw.
