Garry Douglas Lane, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, 25, 2009 at his Burgaw Home.

He was born May 25, 1951 in Unicoi, Tennessee and was the son of the late Robert Flem Lane and Dora Poore Lane. He was also predeceased by his daughter, Kathey Harlow and brother, Dennis Lane.

Garry is survived by his wife, Jerry; daughters, Megan and Erika of Burgaw; son, Andy Harlow of Richmond, Virginia; grandchildren, Winter Hawlow of Burgaw and Wyatt Corless of Missouri; and son-in-law, Steve Corless.

Garry served his country honorably in the US Air Force and was an active member of Rolling Thunder. He was employed by Britt Motorsports for 32 years and was a member of the Britt family.

Celebration of Garry's life will be held 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2009 at Britt Motorsports, 6431 Market Street, Wilmington and also 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at St. Helena Community Center, 305 E. Main St., Village of St. Helena, Burgaw.

Garry loved his family, his friends and guitar music. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends, but never forgotten.
