Gary Wayne McLaughlin, 78, of Willard passed from his earthly life Monday, October 24, 2022 at his home.

He was born November 30, 1943 in Marmet, West Virginia, the son of Ernest Roy McLaughlin and Edith Davis McLaughlin.

Gary is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Barbara Elixson McLaughlin; sons, Gary Wayne McLaughlin, Jr. and Christopher Allen McLaughlin; daughter, Angela McLaughlin Rice (Wendell III); grandchildren, Steven McLaughlin, Cristian Williams, Wendell Rice IV,  Ely Rice, and Waylon Rice; great granddaughters, Izabella McLaughlin; Zoey Mclaughlin, and Audrey Williams; brother, Delmar McLaughlin (Felcia); many extended family members and friends.

Gary Wayne served his country honorably in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He enjoyed reading and gardening, but most importantly he loved and cared for his family. Gary Wayne was loved and will be greatly missed.

A memorial service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Shiloh Baptist Church.
