Gaynelle Barlow Pagan, 75, of Wilmington, passed away on Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington.

She was born on February 9, 1947, in Taylorsville, NC, to the late Fred and Mary (Richey) Barlow.

Gay was retired from BellSouth after 25 years of service in various positions. She loved country music, politics and gardening. Gay, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, was a bright light to many and will be missed dearly.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Pagan; her son, Scott Edward Pagan and wife, Heather; her daughter, Sara Denise Mendoza; her sisters, Libby Kelso and husband, Ed, Betty M. Avnet; her grandchildren, Brittany E. Pagan and Grace E. Pagan.

There are no services planned at this time.
