Geneva Jane Robinson Horrell, 79, of Leland, beloved wife, mother, sister and friend passed from her earthly life on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Legacy Heights, Charlotte, NC.

She was born February 1, 1939 in Bladen County, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Pridgen Robinson.

Geneva is survived by her husband of 55 years, David L. Horrell; daughter, Wendy Beistel and her husband, Shawn; sister, Connie Recchio and her husband, Robert; and brothers, Shueford Robinson, Frank Robinson and Edgar Robinson and his wife, Ann.

Geneva, the oldest child in her family often generously took on the roll of caregiver as she was always there for family whenever needed. David and Geneva were happily married for 55 years and were blessed with their beloved daughter, Wendy and her husband, Shawn. Family was the center of Geneva's world. She and David worked in their yard, traveled, watched old movies and loved each other's company. David, Wendy and Shawn have continued loving and caring for Geneva the past few years as her health declined with Alzheimers Disease. Her gentle sweet spirit and beautiful smile will always be remembered.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 1, 2018 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Kelley Wheat-Rivers, chaplain at Liberty Hospice will conduct the service.

A private burial will be at a later date at Garden of Memories in Kelly, NC.
