George Allan Todd, 63, of Surfside Beach, SC expired peacefully Friday, December 25, 2009 in Rocky Point, NC surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born January 31, 1946 in Charlotte, the son of the late Harold Harvey Todd and Margaret Black Todd. Allan was an Eagle Scout, served in the US Army and retired from the US Postal Service after 22 years.

He is survived by his son, David A. Todd and wife, Bridget Gray-Todd of Wilmington, NC; David's mother, Helen Massey Todd of Matthews, NC; his brother, Hal Todd and wife, Kathy Todd of Rock Hill, SC; his niece, Shannon Golightly and husband, Mark and their son, Aiken of Rock Hill, SC; and his niece, Kelly Todd of Rock Hill, SC.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Paw Creek Presbyterian Church, 7400 Mount Holly Road, Charlotte, NC 28214.
