Obituary

George Ennis "Adam" Young, 43, of Teachey left this earthly life to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 12, 2018 after a lengthy illness.

He was born on June 15, 1975 in Pender County and was the son of George Ennis and Kay Rivenbark Young of Teachey.

Surviving to cherish his memory are his sons, Brett Adam Young and Austin Luke Young of Teachey; his daughter, Lydia Alice Patterson Young of Smithfield; brother, Matthew Scott Young and wife, Mary Blair of Wilmington and special friend, Rachael Canales and numerous extended family and friends that loved Adam dearly.

Adam, as he was affectionately called, was a devoted son and loving father and brother. He enjoyed the simplest things in life but his greatest joy was his family especially his children. Adam loved the Lord and lived his life as an example of that love. He was very talented, loved music and was always ready to tell about the goodness of God. With a big heart and sweet spirit, Adam was loved by many. He loved to laugh and to make others laugh also. Adam will surely be missed but treasured memories will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
