Georgia Ann Goodman Hoskins, 81, of Wilmington, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born February 3, 1943, in Salisbury, NC to the late Walter Cornelius Goodman and Wilma Canup Goodman.

Georgia was a Christian who loved her church family at Pine Valley Baptist Church in Wilmington, NC. She was an active volunteer at church where she regularly volunteered in the church library. She was a great mom who loved children. She retired from the New Hanover County Register of Deeds in the position of County Clerk.

Georgia is survived by her husband, Buddy Hoskins; daughter, Judy Spencer and husband, Lee; sister, Pauline Young; and granddaughter, Brittany Damask.

In addition to her parents, Georgia was also preceded in death by her sister, Juanita Cranfield; brother, Walter Goodman; beloved pets, (dog) Peanut and (parakeet) Chipper.

A memorial service will be held at 2:15 pm on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Pine Valley Baptist Church in Wilmington with Pastor Melvin Hall officiating.
