Gerald Van Rivenbark, 55, of Willard, beloved son, brother and uncle passed from his earthly life Thursday, April 22, 2021 at his home.

He was born April 23, 1965 in Pender County, one of three children.

Gerald leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Samuel Irving Rivenbark, Sr. and Judith A. Rivenbark; brother, Samuel I. Rivenbark, Jr.; sister, Stephanie R. Rommell and her husband, Rick; nephews, Justin Rommell and Kyle Rommell; many extended family and loyal friends.

By career Gerald was an accomplished carpenter, always putting his best efforts into any job that he was involved in.

With out a doubt, Gerald loved his family. He found time for his favorite passion, which was fishing at Surf City on Topsail Island. Gerald had a large group of friends that he enjoyed spending time with. Music and friends were both special in Gerald's life. Gerald's passing leaves an empty place in the hearts of his beloved family and many friends.

There will be a time of sharing and visitation 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home in Burgaw. In consideration of the family please wear your mask and maintain social distancing.
