Gladys Joyce O'Brien McAllister, age 88, of Burgaw passed gently from her earthly life Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 15, 1934 in England, the daughter of Archibald Ethelbert O'Brien and Gladys Isabel Meredith O'Brien. She was preceded by her husband, William Kenneth McAllister who died in 2008.

Gladys is survived by her daughters, Janet Littlejohn (Rick) and Joyce Doughty (Aaron, Sr.); grandchildren, Melissa Spence, Scott Pittman, Aaron Doughty, Jr., Joy Daughty Sadler; and five great grandchildren.

Gladys loved the game of Bingo and for many years she was a professional Bingo number caller. Most of all Gladys loved her family.
