Gladys Robinson Ramirez, age 67, of Wallace, died Saturday, March 29, 2008 at her home after a lengthy battle with cancer.

She was born March 11, 1941 in Duplin County and was the daughter of the late Watus and Elma Williams Cavenaugh. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lynne` Robinson Price and her grandson, Jeremy Feight.

Surviving are her devoted sons, Gregory Robinson of Wallace and Brian Robinson of Daytona Beach, FL.; sisters, Jannell Gledhill of San Diego, CA and Kathy Kelley and husband, Floyd of Wallace; brother, Gerald Cavenaugh of San Diego, CA; step-mother, Lena Mae Cavenaugh of Wallace; nieces, Teresa Harvey, Melinda Kempa, Laura Kelley and Sarah Kelley; nephews, John D. Carter, Jr. and Geoffrey Gledhill; special friends, Jean English Ingram and Cindy Padgett; her wonderful Hospice caregivers and numerous cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace Chapel with the Reverend Lester Hunter officiating.

Burial will follow in Cavenaugh Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 7:00 to 9:00 pm Tuesday at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home in Wallace and other times at Ms. Ramirez's residence.
