A kind and gentle soul, a gracious and loving lady, Glenda Woodell Gurganious, entered her heavenly home Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at the age of 80. She was born January 12, 1943 to Russell and Annie Mae Grady Woodell, living all of her wonderful life in the Long Creek Community. In addition to her parents Glenda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley Gurganious, who welcomed Glenda with open arms in heaven.

Glenda is survived by her loving children, Steve Gurganious and Beth Gurganious Whitley and her husband, Johnny; sister-in-law, Shelva Byrd; many extended family members and dear friends. Not to be forgotten is her Yorkie companion, Ana.

Glenda along with her husband, Stanley was owner and operator of Woodell Meats.

Glenda was a faithful and active member of Riley's Creek Baptist Church where she was a shining example of God's love on earth. As well as being the essence of a Proverbs 31:10-31 woman, Glenda was known for her genuine goodness and love for others. She had a personal relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, great strength of Faith and Character, living out her faith in all facets of her life. Glenda was loved and will be greatly missed.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, 2023 at Riley's Creek Baptist Church with funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. The Rev. Art Sauer will conduct the service. Interment will follow in Riley's Creek Memorial Cemetery.
