Obituary

Glenn Farrell Coombs, 51, of Burgaw passed swiftly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from his earthly life.

He was born November 11, 1970 in Alamance County, the son of the late Alton Earl Coombs and Sandra Shambley Coombs.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Amy Coombs; sons, Sean Coombs (Ashley), Christopher Savage (Ashlynn), Matthew Cather (Hannah); daughters, Kaytie Mitchell (Chris), Kimberly Kane (Nic), and Nicole Brown (Arthur); grandchildren, Aceyn, Alton, Alex , Adaline, Annabelle, Anika, Annalisa, Jaxyn, Cooper, Sadie, Dallas, Natalie, Kai, Easton, Hudsyn, Kathryn, and two more grandchildren to be born, one in April and one in August.

Glenn was a wonderful husband, daddy, granddaddy and friend. Favorite passions of Glenn's were hunting and mud racing. He was a man of determination, and an iron will to overcome his physical limitations. Being a quadriplegic, he both hunted and target practiced, amazing! His presence in our family circle will surely be missed.

Glenn was an organ/tissue donor. His last gift on this earth was the gift of life to someone else through Carolina Donor Services, now HonorBridge.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2021 at Quinn McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel with visitation following the service.
